Could It Be Time to Spruce Up Your Home

My husband and I have been living in our home for more than a decade now, and it has to be said many of the rooms are looking a bit worse for wear.

Unfortunately it would seem that both the bathroom and kitchen have reached the point of no return and now a total revamp is probably going to be required.

The dilemma is where do you start? At the moment there appears to be a vast amount of kitchens and bathrooms available.  Should you be looking at traditional, maybe modern, or perhaps just go for the wow factor?

At present a few of our local DIY shops are offering some great deals on their bathrooms and kitchens, but is purchasing at the local DIY store always the best decision?

Maybe you might be best suited buying from a specialist company. At the moment lots of the larger companies have some brilliant deals on offer. If you like you can choose Interest Free payments over a 24 month period, perhaps you could get all of your electrical appliances thrown into the deal for the kitchen. The choice is yours with the current economic market, and if you shop around you will be able to play the companies against each other, thereby ensuring you get the very best deals on offer.

Of course, please bear in mind that even though you may seem to be getting a great deal, these companies are still making a profit out of you. Have a go and trying to push that little bit harder and see how far they will drop their prices, after all you have nothing to loose by trying.

Another important factor when revamping any room is choosing your accessories.  Ethical kitchen accessories can make or break a room. They have to be just right and fit in with the style you have chosen for your kitchen. The bathroom is a bit of an easier room to transform.  Accessories for the bathroom can be easily mixed and matched, and changed from month to month.

Now though if we decorate the kitchen and bathroom, our lounge is going to look a bit old and tired. Probably we could just invest in some homeware. These could certainly transform the room and would not have to cost a fortune.  With all this work going on, it looks like it is going to be a busy couple of months ahead.
